Economic empowerment project for the most vulnerable groups

An orphan girl lives with her mother and four sisters in a rented house due to her difficult social and economic situation. After the death of their father, she and her family became without a breadwinner and relied on humanitarian aid to meet their basic needs. With the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen, women suffered in such difficult circumstances. In this context, the Yemen Ohid Organization implemented the Empowerment and Livelihoods Project, and Balqis was targeted to receive support through Aqel Al-Hara, who was in contact with the organization A home hairdresser, complete with makeup and beauty tools, was provided. This support provided Balqis with the opportunity to use her skills in the field of women’s beautification and work from home. Thanks to this project, the difficult living conditions that Balqis and her family were experiencing were alleviated, and she became able to provide a permanent source of income by working at home. She also became able to work outside the home upon request. Balqis's story reflects a simple but inspiring success story. Thanks to the support of the Yemen Ohid Organization, Balqis was able to improve her life and the lives of her family who depend on her and became able to rely on herself and achieve financial independence. By providing support to women in Yemen and protecting them from violence and persecution, the Yemen Ohid Organization reflects its commitment to improving the lives of women and empowering them in light of the difficult circumstances they face.
