One of the beneficiaries of the empowerment projects implemented by the Yemen Ohid Organization, Walid is an unemployed man who supports a family of four children. Their suffering is increased by the disease that his wife suffers from, as she suffers from the hepatitis virus and she receives many expensive treatments, which forces Walid to go collect plastic containers and sell them at cheap prices. It does not exceed two thousand riyals per day, and he begins another stage of misery in searching for someone who can buy medicines for his wife, and after informing the organization of the condition of Walid and his family, who are suffering from a very difficult situation to provide their daily food Yemen Ohid bought a motorcycle so that Walid could support his family and alleviate the daily suffering they are experiencing. Walid said, “I used to work daily collecting plastic containers day and night just to provide food and drink, and after providing assistance, Walid became able to work on the motorcycle and provide an affordable source of income to support his family and buy Medicines and paying house rent without resorting to any of the empowerment projects, despite their simplicity and modesty, play a major role in society to alleviate the difficult living reality experienced by Yemeni families.
